0.6 Mile Swim,  28 Mile Bike,  6.5 Mile Run

 For the TRUE Beginner to Experienced Athlete,  Sprint Distance to Ironman Distance and everything in between - We will get you to the Finish Line... Fast!

1. Swim Instruction -Three Locations:

1. Tempe/ ASU Mona Swim Complex: Chris Aikman

Located at the intersection of Stadium Drive and College Street on the campus of Arizona State University, is regarded as one of the country's finest outdoor swimming and diving facilities. The complex, which opened in July 1981, consists of three pools - an Olympic size 50 meters by 25 yards, 7.5 foot deep competition pool with a movable bulkhead; a 25-yard, 18-foot diving well; and a 25-yard eight-lane warm-up pool.

       

 

2. Mesa/ Kino Jr. High School: Dave Julian and Dave Chen

Pool Location -- On Horne between Brown and University. Horne is just East of Mesa Drive. You will park on the East side of the pool, the pool is easy to see from the parking lot.
Kino Jr, is DTMS main location, but not our only one!

 

Monday – Friday, 5:45-7:00am
Monday - Thursday ,6:00-7:00pm

 

3.  Central Phoenix/ Brophy

2. Run/Bike Instruction
  • 1-3 practices per week. Various locations in the Valley, early starts, Saturday Mornings and usually once PM during the week.

1st Triathlon Program Vision

1st Triathlon is a group training program geared for the true beginner-novice athlete. Don’t get us wrong however, our coaches are top–level athletes and Coaches - skilled to accommodate the Beginner to the most experienced Triathlete, Duathlete or Runner. We welcome all abilities to join us and Excel with the beginning athlete.  You don't have to know how to swim a lap. You don't have to have the latest greatest Bike.  There are no foolish questions at 1stTriathlon, and no need to feel intimidated. Nor any need to run out and buy the latest greatest Triathlon GEAR – our coaches are here for you and we will teach you all you need to know and what you need to do accomplish your Goal.

 We will get you to the finish line!

Our sessions involve a combination of weekly customized instruction and workouts, through seminars and practice in a group environment. You will be given a monthly training log and workout schedule to also be done on your own. You can expect a flexible ‘workout’ program, requiring at least three – five times per week. Each workout should take you no longer than 30 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours. Come try us out and Achieve the Ultimate...1st Triathlon.
